Hosting
This website is hosted by Netlify, Inc. in the USA. When you open a page, Netlify's servers automatically process technical data such as your IP address, the page requested, the time and your browser type, so the site can be delivered and kept secure. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in a secure, working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Data may be transferred to the USA; this is covered by Netlify's data processing agreement and the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Photographs and stored data
The photographs, texts and messages on this site are stored with Supabase, Inc., which provides the database and file storage. Your browser loads the photographs directly from Supabase, so Supabase also receives your IP address. Supabase may process data outside the EU; this is covered by its data processing agreement and the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Contact form
If you send a message, your name, email address and message are stored so Ritchie can answer you and, if you book, prepare the job (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Messages are deleted once they are no longer needed, unless the law requires them to be kept.
Counting views
To see which pages and photographs are viewed, the site counts views. It records only the page or photograph, the day and the language shown. It sets no cookies and stores nothing that identifies you. If your browser sends a "Do Not Track" signal, nothing is counted (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Stored in your browser
The site remembers your language choice in your browser's local storage. Clients and the photographer who sign in also have their sign-in kept there. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
Fonts
The fonts on the public pages are served from this website, so no data goes to Google. Private client galleries can use a design font loaded from Google Fonts (Google Ireland Limited), which sends your IP address to Google.
Clients
If you book a job, the details needed to deliver it are processed: your name, contact details, your photographs, signed contracts and invoices (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Invoices are kept for as long as German tax law requires, up to 10 years (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
The link to Instagram is a plain link. Instagram receives no data from this site unless you click it.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR). Write to the email address above. You can also complain to a data protection authority, for example the one responsible for Rhineland-Palatinate: Der Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Rheinland-Pfalz, Mainz.
